This week we’re featuring a piece which sort of masterfully illustrates what the Raving Poets are about. Kathy Fisher explores the various definitions of the word “stroke”. In a virtuoso performance, bassist Mark Kozub lays down an accompaniment that will make your jaw drop. Listen to how this develops musically. Listen to how Fishy spoons back into the riff and how the performance reaches a synergy that neither alone could have accomplished. In a lot of ways this is exactly what the Raving Poets aim to achieve by combining the spoken word and music.
